THE PEPPERLAND ROCKESTRA is a 9-piece Beatles tribute band from Chicago, Illinois. Half rock band, half string quartet (and adding in a sitar) they offer a unique line-up, different than the typical rock band, making them a new and fun group that music fans of any age will enjoy!
A young group, they formed at the 2015 Fest for Beatles Fans in Chicago. Originating with a Facebook post by Johnny (keys) to add strings to his band competing in the Battle of the Beatles Bands, string players Diana (viola), Kandalyn (violin), Willa (viola) and Melissa (cello) responded, one rehearsal was had, and the band WON the battle! Other members include: Tony G (sitar, drums, percussion), Brian M (bass), Brian R (drums, percussion) and Richard P (guitar).
Since then, they have performed around the Chicago area, and have appeared as special guests on the Apple Jam Stage at the Fest for Beatles Fans in 2016 and 2017.
